MURALS

My background in illustration led me into painting murals. I love to transform spaces and to compare the before and after, to stand back and look at the difference you have made to a space. I’ve painted murals for private clients, hospitals, community groups and schools.

I often create 3-D elements to my murals and also work with a digital artist to create trigger points/QR codes around the artwork; these can link the viewer to information, films and animations connected to the artwork.

Library Mural.

This mural was created to transform a wall in a school library. I worked with the children and staff to gather ideas and designs for the final mural.

Primrose Hospice.

This aim of this commission’s aim was to transform the communal room at a Hospice. Patients, relatives and staff requested a bright and up-lifting area which mirrored the adjoining garden space.

Jungle mural.

The transformation of an area can clearly be seen. The staff requested a simpler design which brightened up a dull corridor. The mural was designed by the school’s year 3 children. They also made and painted the 3-D masks and jungle frogs which create interesting focal points on the painting.
